Craft Site

For professionals who work with nonprofits

Help your nonprofit clients strengthen their online presence.

Refer a nonprofit that needs a better website. I handle the website engagement, design them a free homepage concept before they commit, and your client receives a $150 Partner Credit if they go ahead.

You do not sell anything. You keep your client relationship.

Refer a nonprofit See how it works

No signup needed first. No quota. No obligation to refer anyone, ever.

A nonprofit website concept on a laptop: the organization's mission, a donate button, and a published ledger of where the money went.
The same nonprofit concept on a phone, with the mission and donate action stacked for a small screen.

The Bridge Fund, a concept I built. Not a client, and labelled that way everywhere it appears.

Who this is for

People who already see the problem.

Grant writers · fundraising consultants · fractional development directors · nonprofit consultants · donor CRM and systems consultants · nonprofit accountants and advisors

If you advise nonprofits, you have already sat across from one whose website was working against them. This is somewhere to send them.

The awkward moment

You can see it. It is just not your job to fix it.

“Their programs are strong. You would never know it from the site.”

“A funder is going to look them up and draw the wrong conclusion.”

“I am writing about impact they cannot evidence anywhere public.”

“Their donate flow loses people halfway through.”

“I do not build websites, and I do not have anyone good to point them at.”

“I do not want to be responsible for managing a web project.”

You do not have to solve any of it. You introduce us and step back out.

How it works

Five steps, and four of them are mine.

01

You introduce us

An email introduction, or the short form on this site. Thirty seconds.

02

I take it from there

I talk to the organization directly. You are not in the middle and you are not chasing anything.

03

They get a free homepage concept

A real homepage for their organization, designed before they commit to anything. No cost, no sales call.

04

They decide

If it is not right, that is the end of it and nobody owes anyone anything.

05

Their project gets $150 off

If they go ahead, the $150 Partner Credit comes off their contract total.

The part that matters to you

I handle the website engagement. You keep your client relationship.

I am not trying to become their consultant. I build the website, hand it over, and stay out of everything that is plainly yours. If they ask me about grant strategy, fundraising planning or anything in your lane, I point them back at you.

You are not asked to sell, scope, quote, project-manage, sit on calls, or answer for anything I do.

One thing to be upfront about

We include a funder research tool. It is not a replacement for you.

Nonprofit websites here come with a year of GrantSnag. It gives organizations another research layer for understanding which private foundations have historically funded similar organizations, drawn from IRS 990-PF filings.

It supports funder research. It does not replace grant strategy, relationship-building, proposal development, or professional grant-writing services.

I am saying that plainly because if you write grants for a living, a tool bundled into a website could read as something aimed at your work. It is not. It surfaces which foundations have given to organizations like your client's. What anyone does with that list is the part you are good at.

What it does not do

  • It does not write grant applications.
  • It does not offer grant consulting.
  • It does not guarantee funding. No honest service can.
  • It does not list open grants with deadlines. It shows historical giving.

Those are GrantSnag's own words, from their FAQ and terms.

The referral benefit

By default, the money goes to your client.

Default

$150 Partner Credit to the nonprofit

It appears on their quote as a visible line and reduces their contract total, which also reduces their deposit. It stacks with the standard 15% nonprofit pricing, so it is on top of the discount rather than instead of it.

Optional

$150 to you instead

If your professional obligations permit referral compensation, you may elect to receive the $150 yourself. Only one applies per project.

Whether you may accept it is your call, not mine. Some professionals are bound by codes of ethics, employment terms or client agreements that restrict or require disclosure of compensation for recommending a vendor. I do not assess that and I cannot advise you on it. If you are unsure, take the client credit. It is the default for a reason.

Nothing here is tied to grant applications, grant awards or grant amounts, in any way. This is a website referral, and that is a deliberate structural choice. The full partner terms spell it out.

Fair questions.

Do I have to sell anything?

No. You introduce us and you are done. I do the conversation, the concept, the quote and the build. You are never asked to explain what I do or defend a price.

Do I have to sign up first?

No, and that is deliberate. Introduce someone whenever it comes up. If it turns into a project I will sort out the details with you then. A formal arrangement only exists if you want one.

Is there a quota or a minimum?

No. No minimum, no target, no expectation. Refer nobody for a year and nothing happens. You are also free to recommend anyone else, including people who do what I do.

Are you going to take over my client?

No. I handle the website engagement only. I will not pitch them your services back to them, and if they ask me about work that is plainly yours, I point them at you.

Can I refer an existing client?

Yes, as long as they are not already talking to me. If they are already an active lead, no benefit applies and I will tell you that straight away rather than quietly.

What if two people refer the same organization?

The first documented introduction wins. I record every attribution attempt and never overwrite one silently. If it is genuinely unclear, I decide and tell both of you what I decided and why.

When does the benefit actually apply?

When the organization becomes a paying client and their first required payment clears. Not at introduction, not at quote, not at concept.

Can I take the payment instead of the credit?

If your professional obligations permit referral compensation, yes. That is your judgement to make, not mine, and I ask you to confirm it when you choose. If you are unsure, take the client credit.

Who am I actually dealing with?

Me. I am Carson Holder, I build these out of Virginia Beach one at a time under Deliberate Services LLC, and you will always be talking to the person doing the work. You can reach me at [email protected] or (757) 739-0945.

How much do the websites cost?

Nonprofit websites are quoted to the organization, at 15% below the commercial rate. A smaller build starts around $1,490 including the first year of GrantSnag; a fuller five to seven page site starts around $2,680. Everything is on the nonprofit page, and the $150 credit comes off whatever the number is.

Introduce a nonprofit whose website is letting them down.

Thirty seconds. I take it from there, and they get a free homepage concept before they decide anything.
